Some of the Tabs Aren’t Even Yours

Nobody talks about this part of the mental load.

It's not just your to-do list. It's not just the decisions you can't seem to close. It's everyone else's too.

The friend who needs you to hold her spiral. The colleague who cc's you because you're the one who actually responds. The family member who calls when things fall apart because you're the one who knows what to do.

You became the emotional infrastructure. Not because you volunteered. Because you were good at it and nobody else stepped up.

And now your tabs include things that were never yours to carry in the first place.

This is one of the most exhausting and least named parts of what my clients bring into our work. They think they're overwhelmed because they're bad at managing their time. They're not.

They're overwhelmed because they've been carrying the weight of multiple people's nervous systems alongside their own.

You are not behind. You are carrying too much. And some of it isn't even yours.

That's where we start.

I'm Noelle. The Mental Tabs Coach.
